Looking
for love? The best advice I have ever heard on the subject was don’t go looking
for it—it will find you. Just pray you’ll be pleasant and dignified when it
does. Little did I know during the summer break after my freshman year in
college that love would find me. I was returning from my lunch hour at the YMCA
in Altavista when it did.
“Need any help with
that?” asked the handsome guy leaning out of my boss’s office door.
Taken totally off guard
and with only two minutes to spare to finish my dripping yet delicious ice
cream cone, I said the first thing that came to mind and not very nicely, “I
don’t think so.” I disappeared into the employee room where I wolfed down the
remains of my cone and clocked in.
With all the to-do taking
place behind the counter, the handsome stranger was wiped amazingly from my
mind. Then he appeared right in front of me, like out of nowhere. Once I looked
into his smiling blue eyes I was hooked.
We were married six
weeks later.
Our 20th
wedding anniversary will be this July and we have seven children.

6 weeks?!!Wow. Must've been a great day!!!
Pretty crazy, huh! I don't recommend doing it so fast, though. I had been praying for a husband since I was sixteen, so I knew he was a God send!

Thank you, zel for the compliment! Blessings!
@ Loree -- meeting my husband was completely unexpected. In fact, a few days before I met him I was moaning about how boring the summer was going to be!
